French retailer picks JDA for space planning

BUT International the French consumer electronics retailer, has implemented JDA’s Space Planning software.

The company, which operates more than 200 stores and features more than 30,000 individual SKUs,is using the system to execute category plans that optimise the position, performance and layout of product categories, as well as manage multiple planograms simultaneously.

Jérôme Cointe, merchandising manager at BUT International, said: “The consumer electronics and appliances environment constantly changes since it is based on new developments in technology and style. We must keep up with these changes to satisfy consumer demand.
