Promotion for Kent
Panalpina has promoted Chris Kent to global head of Panprojects, a wholly-owned subsidiary, he was previously divisional director of the company in the UK. Panalpina has also appointed Thomas Niederer global head of road and rail.
New role for Ridgway
Daryl Ridgway has been appointed to Kuehne + Nagel’s North West Europe regional management board as senior vice president, seafreight. He takes over from Diederick de Vroet, who has decided to return with his family to the Netherlands.
Key post at Exide
Andrew Clarke has become Exide Technologies’ senior key account manager for motive power in the UK. He has been with Exide for 22 years.
Freightliner development
Freightliner has appointed Dom McKenna corporate development director responsible for developing international opportunities. He joins from Smiths News where he was corporate development director.
Multipart move
John Cascone has joined Multipart Solutions to head the direct selling side of its operation as sales marketing director. He will lead a team covering the LDV parts business, the Vanfit all-makes van parts programme and the recently awarded franchise for the Diesel Technic.
AMI gets Cross
Air Menzies International, the trade-only airfreight wholesaler, has appointed Neil Cross general manager, sales for the UK. He takes charge of all UK sales for AMI, supervising a team of six sales personnel.
