German company Kratzer Automation has established its logistics automation division in the UK.
The business was founded 30 years ago and has developed from a three person software team into a provider of fleet and transport management software with more than 200 employees internationally.
Its CadisTransport product helps to automate, document and optimise the working processes of transport operators.
It is a modular system with a central processing platform and has the ability to add a range of functional applications, including ePOD, collections, route loading, image capture, satellite navigation, management reporting and streamlined processes.
Robert Rubner, chief operating officer and head of the Logistics Automation division, said: “Transport logistics providers in Britain are improving their track and trace capability to obtain competitive advantage and higher service quality…Our goal is to establish Kratzer Automation as a regional market leader within the next three years and to increase the sales volume of the Logistics Automation division by 20 to 25 per cent.”
The business will be headquartered in Nottingham and will target the UK and Ireland.
