Bedfords Transport has invested in two Iveco 44 tonne EcoStralis tractor units for its recent acquisition, LinQ Alliance.
Iveco says the EcoStralis offers an improvement in fuel economy of at least four per centy.
Bedfords reckons it is the first UK haulier to invest in the new technology.
The vehicles were purchased from Yorkshire based truck and van dealership Northern Commercials and will carry LinQ Alliance livery.
