Water company Highland Spring is investing £1m in a fleet of 30 bespoke Still forklifts.
It has chosen Scotland-based Northern Forklift to supply the trucks which are mainly gas powered. Some electric warehouse forklifts will be used to manage up to one and a half million litres of bottled water each day.
Daniel Muir, customer supply and logistics manager at Highland Spring, said: “At Highland Spring we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and Northern Forklift’s trucks met our high standards.
“Our warehouse can hold 12,000 pallets of water and up to 2,000 are shipped each day. The plant is very busy so the reliability of trucks was essential.”
