Swedish telecommunications company Telia has extended its national spare parts logistics contract with DHL for another two years.

Under the contract, DHL manages the time-critical handling of spare parts needed for repairs and maintenance of Telia’s fixed broadband networks. It is also responsible for customer-placed equipment such as switches and routers, and administration and returns.

Distribution is co-ordinated from DHL’s logistics centre in Rosersberg, north of Stockholm, and from 17 local depots for same-day deliveries across the country.

Jan Flyckt, senior commercial manager at DHL Supply Chain Sweden, said: “Over the years, we have refined the spare parts logistics, including a new customised web solution that supports the entire supply chain.”
