Europe’s top supply chain is set to be revealed at a spectacular gala dinner at the Park Lane Hilton in London’s Mayfair on 1st November.
The European Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2011, which are organised by Supply Chain Standard in partnership with PwC, have attracted entries from leading international companies in both retail and manufacturing.
It’s a real achievement to reach the shortlist for the Awards, but it then gets even tougher for the successful companies. Each one has to give a presentation to a panel of supply chain experts who will expect answers to some penetrating questions.
It’s this depth of analysis involved in the judging process that makes the Awards so prestigious – and uniquely worth winning.
In 2010, the overall winner was clothing retailer Primark. And it joined an illustrious list of winners of Europe’s most prestigious supply chain Award: Telefónica UK, Dell, Sainsbury’s, Vodafone, Cisco Systems, Coca-Cola, Marks & Spencer and GlaxoSmithKline.
The awards are sponsored by Kuehne + Nagel, Michael Page Supply Chain, BiS Henderson and Toyota Material Handling.
The Awards are moving to the Hilton this year reflecting the success of the event which has now outgrown the Ballroom at the Grosvenor House Hotel after being over-subscribed last year.
There are two main groups of Awards: the Industry Sector Awards and the Special Category Awards. The Industry Sector Awards recognise excellence in the organisation and management of a complete supply chain, while the Special Category Awards differ in that they recognise excellence in the implementation of a specific project.
