Stobart Group chief executive Andrew Tinkler has won the Sir Robert Lawrence Award for an individual judged to have made a major contribution to, and raised the status and recognition of, the logistics and transport industry.
Tinkler has spearheaded Stobart’s efforts to deliver sustainable distribution, industry-leading fleet utilisation performance, shifting freight from road to rail and campaigning environmentally friendly trailers to help reduce the number of lorries on UK roads.
He was presented with the award at the the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s annual dinner.
