Danone has extended its contract for temperature-controlled warehousing and co-packing logistics services in Poland with Kuehne + Nagel for another three and a half years.
“Co-operation with Kuehne + Nagel supporting us with high quality facilities and services, is crucial for our logistics efficiency as well as for our products out-of factory quality management to ensure our consumers satisfaction,” said Frank Uszko, managing director of Danone in Poland and the Baltics.
The contract is operated from a 140,000 sq ft warehouse near Warsaw and a site at Chorzów in the south of the country.
Products are delivered from the Danone factories and picked based on customer orders with pick-by-voice technology. Both facilities are temperature-controlled and feature efficient racking solutions like gravity racks. The operation runs 24 hours per day on three shifts.
