Europe’s top supply chain revealed tonight

Tonight supply chain professionals from all across Europe will gather at London’s Park Lane Hilton hotel, to celebrate as the winners of the European Supply Chain Excellence awards 2011 are revealed at last.

The competition was even tougher for the prestigious awards this year, with more entries than ever before. Each shortlisted company gave a presentation to a panel of supply chain experts who grilled them thoroughly, to establish the worthy winners in an outstanding field.

The variety and scope of the projects that the panel considered made it a real challenge, but the level of interaction between the judges and the candidates allows the panel to consider the comparative merits of each entry.

It’s this depth of analysis involved in the judging process that makes the Awards so prestigious – and uniquely worth winning.

The European Supply Chain Excellence Awards are organised by Supply Chain Standard in partnership with PwC’s PRTM Management Consulting. They are sponsored by Kuehne + Nagel, Michael Page Supply Chain, BiS Henderson and Toyota Material Handling.

The Awards have moved to the Hilton after outgrowing its previous venue at the Grosvenor House Hotel, being over-subscribed last year.

In 2010, the overall winner was clothing retailer Primark. And it joined an illustrious list of winners of Europe’s most prestigious supply chain Award: Telefónica UK, Dell, Sainsbury’s, Vodafone, Cisco Systems, Coca-Cola, Marks & Spencer and GlaxoSmithKline.

So good luck to all the worthy companies who have been shortlisted, and we look forward to celebrating success with you all tonight.
