Andrew Boyle, past chairman of the Road Haulage Association, has been awarded the OBE for services to the transport industry in the new year’s honours list.

Boyle became chairman of the RHA in October 2009 and was succeeded by Richard Fry in May 2011.
He runs family company ABE (Ledbury) which was established in 1972 focusing on the agriculture and horticulture markets.
Today, the business offers a national distribution service for consignments ranging from single pallets to full loads, including a chilled and frozen transport facility.
Clive Warcup, owner of Driffield-based Clive Warcup Transport, was awarded the MBE for services to the road haulage industry and charitable work.
