A major automotive company has taken a 115,067 sq ft unit at SEGRO’s Meteor Park in Birmingham – the first letting of this size in Birmingham for many months. It means there no more space available at Meteor Park.
It signed a ten-year lease for unit 4, which at 115,067 sq ft is the largest of the four units on the site.
In addition, Pointbid Logistics Systems signed a five-year lease for unit 3, which measures 58,609 sq ft, after relocating from premises in nearby Sparkbrook. The move came after the company won a contract with Royal Mail for e-fulfilment services.
Pointbid will be working with internet traders, who only deal with the sales and marketing side of their business, to provide a pick, pack and dispatch operation.
The units were let at a rent in the region of £5.50 per sq ft. Letting agents were DTZ, Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield.
