Bearmach, the supplier of OEM and branded accessories for Land Rover, has selected DMF Projects to redevelop its warehouse in Caerphilly, South Wales, to increase capacity by 25 per cent.
For the project DMF Projects will design and install a mezzanine floor that will provide more than 8,000 sq ft of additional processing space.
This will create a new small parts picking area, connecting picking to packing, and moving the picking process from the back of the warehouse to next to the goods in and out doors that will improve product flow for the small parts.
The mezzanine are will also house more customer support staff.
Bearmach operations manager Richard Green, said: “The company has been steadily growing over the last few years and had outgrown our existing facility. We had reached the point where we needed to increase the capacity at the site in order to enhance our supply chain and customer service functions. DMF Projects has identified an effective means of better utilising the Caerphilly facility and creating an improved working environment to meet our needs moving forward.”
