Bernard Matthews is completing its transition to a Schmitz Cargobull refrigerated fleet with the arrival of eight new trailers.
The turkey producer has been converting the trailer fleet to Schmitz Cargobull over the past seven years.
It will use the trailers to move fresh meat, frozen and chilled products between farms in East Anglia and its distribution centres.
“Our fleet is really put through its paces on a daily basis,” said transport manager Jeffrey Helmore. “This requires equipment which not only copes with our gruelling schedules, but that has the longevity to perform as well on day one as it does two, three or even seven years down the line.”
