Briggs Equipment has strengthened its senior management team by hiring Bill Goodwin as sales director.
The move follows Briggs’ takeover of Barloworld UK, and its consolidation as as one of the largest businesses of its type in the UK and the main supplier of both Hyster and Yale Europe Materials Handling Equipment.
Goodwin had worked as sales director at Jungheinrich. He said: “In my previous roles I’ve enjoyed success by employing sales techniques that are based on empowering staff to make informed decisions, and to take responsibility for those decisions.”
Briggs CEO Richard Close said: “We are delighted to welcome Bill to the team at an exciting time for the company.
“Following our recent acquisition of Barloworld, his extensive experience and expertise will help us strengthen our position as a market leader while building the foundations for future growth,” he added.
