Renault pulls out of truck making with Volvo sale

Renault, the French car maker, has ended its involvement in the commercial vehicle industry after selling its entire shareholding in AB Volvo.

It became a shareholder in Volvo in 2001 as part of a deal in which Renault Trucks became part of the Volvo Group.

The sale of the 139 million shares has raised some €1.5bn euros for Renault.
