Glenn Lindfield has been appointed chief executive officer of Great Bear, the Chester-based logistics operator. He was most recently senior vice president of Kuehne & Nagel’s North-West Europe Contract Logistics operation and previously held senior positions within ACR, Hays Logistics and Christian Salvesen.
He will take over management responsibility from David Williams and Colin McDavid, Great Bear’s founders, from 1st February.

Williams and McDavid launched the business in 1994, and since then it is grown to turnover of £120m. They remain the company’s owners and will continue to be involved in the strategic development of the business. The company has 30 locations across the country with more than 3.7 million sq ft of ambient, managed ambient and chilled space. Customers include Sainsbury’s, Mars, Unilever, BMW, Kraft Foods, Bacardi and Michelin.
