AGC Automotive Europe, a supplier of glass components, has taken on the services of DB Schenker Logistics’ new bonded warehouse in Kragujevac, Serbia.
Schenker stores and delivers AGC’s products just in time for Fiat’s demand, and offers an EDI data flow for AGC in this project.
Schenker opened the distribution centre to provide logistics services for suppliers of the local Fiat factory. It decided to open a sub-contracted warehouse just six months before the operation began.
Neven Marcesku, managing director of Schenker d.o.o. Belgrade said: “Contract logistics is an attractive growth market and the new business with a customer like AGC Automotive Europe is very important for us. It’s not only confirmation of our global strategy in the field of automotive logistics but also confirmation of our active approach to the Serbian logistics market.”
DB Schenker already delivers AGC products in Slovakia for Hyundai Kia Automotive Group and in Bremen for Daimler.
