John Lewis has signed a deal with Gazeley to develop a 675,000 sq ft built to suit distribution centre at Magna Park Milton Keynes.
The building will be located adjacent to John Lewis’s existing 650,000 sq ft distribution centre at Magna Park Milton Keynes, which Gazeley completed in August 2007. The facility will be used to further support the retailer’s distribution of products to its shops across the UK, as well as support the rapid growth of its online business.
The distribution centre is due for completion later this year with the John Lewis fit out taking place thereafter.
Alex Verbeek, UK country director, Gazeley, said: “The building has been designed to match the company’s specific requirements and with planning consent already in place, we are on track to deliver on time and on budget.”
John Lewis announced that it planned to open the new warehouse at Milton Keynes last month.
