Helmut Kaspers has been appointed chief commercial officer for Damco West Europe.
He joins from Logwin, where he worked as a member of the executive committee focusing on ocean and air. He has previously held the role of CEO at Birkart Globistics, regional director of West Germany at Kuehne + Nagel, and executive vice president for ocean freight at Schenker.
In addition to his new responsibilities at Damco, Kaspers will continue his role as non-executive director of the board of TAL International, a container leasing USA-based company, which he started during his sabbatical in 2012.
