Distribution specialist Ken Mallinson & Sons has added 30 of Krone’s high volume curtainsiders to its fleet.
The company, which has depots in Barnsley, the West Midlands and Fife, has said that the new Profi Liner curtainsiders enable them to nearly double utilisation, reduce load miles and save on fuel.
The vehicles have an adjustable sliding roof which enables crane loading through the top of the vehicle, which is said to help offer the company two trailers in one, by allowing offload from two different directions.
They also feature automatic lift axles for tyre saving and drag reduction, as well as automatic safety braking for use during vehicle coupling.
