DHL Supply Chain has won a contract with tier 1 supplier Faurecia, which will see the company provide sequenced deliveries of Range Rover door interiors.
Taking place every 60 minutes, the deliveries will run from Faurecia’s manufacturing plant in Fradley, Staffordshire, to the Jaguar Land Rover advanced manufacturing facility in Solihull.
The Solihull plant recently moved to 24 hour production to meet increasing demand and Faurecia was tasked with developing it a new logistics solution.
“By drawing on our in depth knowledge of both Faurecia and Jaguar Land Rover’s operating requirements we have been able to provide a robust and cost effective solution specific to the customer’s needs,” said Steve Corbett, general manager – automotive transport at DHL Supply Chain.
