Kühne Logistics University is moving to a new location this summer, which will begin operations for the winter term, in September 2013.
The new location at Großer Grasbrook 17, in Hamburg’s HafenCity, was previously occupied by SAP and is currently undergoing extensive conversion work.
An egg-shaped space in the auditorium in the foyer of the building is to be decorated in gold and provide seating for up to 300 people there.
The university has said the “avant-garde architectural masterpiece” fits in perfectly with the fresh, young fabric of the HafenCity quarter.
The university will share the 12,000 sq m site with the Medical School of Hamburg and has said around 1,100 students will eventually be studying there.
