Chester-Le-Street-based haulage firm Simpson Bros has taken delivery of 22 new Scanias, as part of its £2 million investment in its fleet.
The company, a founder member of Palletforce, said some of the new vehicles will replace older, less fuel efficient ones.
Two new DAF trucks have also been added to its fleet since January, one in Simpson Bros livery and one in Palletforce livery.
“The economic climate remains challenging but we continue to grow and with this latest investment we are starting as we mean to go on for the future – with customer service and top facilities at the heart of what we do,” said Graham Simpson, managing director.
