Torque has won an initial two-year contract with golf clothing specialist Ping Collection Europe, to provide freight, warehousing, pick and pack and fulfilment of all Ping’s wholesale, retail and e-commerce orders.
The company will handle a mix of hanging and boxed garments for Cheshire-based Ping, whose apparel is distributed across the UK and Europe, as well as carry out quality control on receipt of inbound apparel.
“We had issues recently with our previous third party logistics provider and were looking to improve service levels from supplier to retail delivery, particularly turnaround times, a key area in the golf industry, said Matt Markham, operations manager at Ping Collection Europe.
“Torque is becoming an integral part of the success of Ping Collection, and we look forward to developing our relationship with the company further over many years.”
The two companies are currently discussing the possibility of Torque providing further services, such as re-works and embroidery.
