Hermes has joined with ByBox to launch a Parcel Locker service for its myhermes.co.uk consumer delivery service, to enable parcels to be sent 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Parcel Locker is intended to add convenience, flexibility and choice to myHermes’ existing courier services, for customers wanting to send a parcel or return unwanted online purchases.
Hermes says it is targeting SMEs, eBay “powersellers”, Amazon Marketplace sellers, and online retailers that do not have the time, availability or resources to send parcels during the day.
ByBox’s UK network will enable Hermes to create an initial 100 drop-off points, at locations such as local supermarkets, petrol stations and shopping centres, which the company says will increase to around 250 by the end of the year.
