Get set for Multimodal

For this year only, freight transport and logistics exhibition Multimodal is co-locating with the CV Show at the NEC. Multimodal aims to help shippers find ways of optimising their supply chain and transport flows. 2014 will see seminars brought to attendees by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Freight Transport Association. This year, Multimodal will also host a number of industry meetings, from the likes of the Rail Freight Group, Leaders in Supply Chain, CILT, and Women in Logistics.

Industry leading exhibitors, to name but a few…

ACCENTURE
Accenture provides software-based solutions across a wide range of industries. The company formed Accenture Software to launch a dedicated business which could help its clients solve the escalating challenges of volatile markets.
Accenture Software supports freight and logistics organisations in gaining value from their technology investments, and this year the firm will make its debut at Multimodal.

THE BRITISH INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT ASSOCIATION
Trade association BIFA helps UK-registered companies engage in the international movement of freight by all modes of transport. It supports its freight forwarder members in identifying opportunities within the supply chain, to make the best use of resources, cutting out wasted activity and maximising profits. Its members cover services such as European road and rail distribution, maritime intermodal services, air freight consolidation and forwarding, customs broking and consultancy, packing of goods for export, warehousing and distribution, and logistics and supply chain management.

BOOTS
Health and beauty retailer Boots will be joining Multimodal’s Shippers’ Village in 2014. This integral part of the event allows cargo owners to arrange supplier meetings and network with fellow shippers in private.

BRITTANY FERRIES
With more than 30 years of experience, Brittany Ferries has become a leader in freight transport across the Western Channel.
The company offers a range of routes from a variety of departure ports throughout Europe, each of which has been created to save transporters considerable time and mileage.

CEVA LOGISTICS
Ceva designs and implements supply chain solutions for large and medium-size national and multinational companies. With a presence in more than 160 countries, the company boasts some 50,000 employees, who are dedicated in providing operational expertise to offer best-in-class services across its network.

DB SCHENKER
The transport and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn, DB Schenker, offers global air and ocean freight services, as well as an extensive European land transport network and the rail expertise of its parent company. “We will have many of our logistics experts present to answer your multimodal enquiries and will also be demonstrating our various e-Business solutions.”

DP WORLD LONDON GATEWAY
Set to be the UK’s first 21st Century major deep-sea container port and Europe’s largest logistics park, London Gateway provides shipping access for the world’s leading businesses to consumer markets in the UK. The port is estimated to add an additional 3.5million TEU to the nation’s port capacity, and will integrate with Europe’s largest logistics park to offer individual units up to and in excess of one million square feet.

EUROTUNNEL
Eurotunnel Freight has become the vital link in many supply chains. Logistics companies depend on us for our speed and efficiency helping them to deliver goods with confidence. Moreover, Eurotunnel’s customers benefit from a faster crossing and significant savings in driver hours and fuel costs

THE FOOD STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION FEDERATION
The FSDF, which was founded in 1911, is the trade body which represents and supports the interests of the entire food logistics industry. With its main members from the food and drink storage and distribution industry, the FSDF also has associate members who supply a wide range of equipment, vehicles and support services and now a growing number of major food retailers. FSDF is also hosting a Pavilion at Multimodal.

GEFCO
GEFCO’s strategy is based on providing integrated logistics for the industrial sector. Its baseline “Logistics for Manufacturers” reflects the group’s ambition: to be the benchmark leader in logistics for industry.

HOWARD TENENS
At multimodal for seventh consecutive year.
Howard Tenens, one of the largest family-owned logistics companies in the UK, has been managing demanding logistics contracts for over 50 years predominantly within the automotive, food & drink, industrial and forest product industries.

JAGUAR LAND ROVER
The Shippers’ Village at Multimodal 2014 allows cargo owners to arrange supplier meetings and network with fellow shippers in private. Jaguar Land Rover is the UK’s largest automotive manufacturing business, built around two iconic British car brands: Land Rover, the world’s leading manufacturer of premium all-wheel drive vehicles and Jaguar, one of the world’s premier luxury sports saloon and sports car marques.

KNIGHT OF OLD
Based in Northamptonshire, the Knights of Old Group’s operations cover the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. Combined with warehousing, export packing and e-fulfilment facilities, the company offers a full, in-house supply chain service.

MANCHESTER AIRPORTS GROUP
MAG handling 640,000 tonnes of air freight every year through its ownership and operation of Manchester, London Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth airports. The Manchester Airports Group also includes the commercial property company, Property, which has £571m property assets across the four airports and is leading the £800m major Enterprise Zone development, Airport City, at Manchester.

NETWORK RAIL
Network rail runs, maintains and develops Britain’s rail tracks, signalling, bridges, tunnels, level crossings, viaducts and 17 key stations. It can offer advice on any aspect of moving freight by rail.

PALLETFORCE
Palletforce has 87 member companies who are independent transport companies in their own right with a network of more than 100 UK depots.
THE ROAD HAULAGE ASSOCIATION
The RHA provides dedicated campaigning, advice, information and business services specifically tailored for the haulage industry. It uses our buying power to negotiate exclusive savings on a range of key haulage services, saving members time and money.

SKILLS FOR LOGISTICS
Skills for Logistics is the Sector Skills Council for the freight logistics industry. The UK Logistics sector employs 2.2 million people, representing 8 per cent of the work force. Skills for Logistics is developing and delivering programmes and products to attract people into the sector, get them work ready and develop them in their careers.

TT CLUB
Established in 1968, as a mutual association, the TT Club specialises in the insurance of liabilities and equipment for multimodal operators. Customers range from some of the world’s largest shipping lines, busiest ports, biggest freight forwarders and cargo handling terminals, to companies operating a handful of vehicles. With so many different categories of customer around the world, the TT Club has learned to work closely with brokers to tailor insurance packages that meet individual needs.

UNITED KINGDOM WAREHOUSING ASSOCIATION
With over 600 member companies, UKWA is the UK’s leading trade association dedicated to the third party logistics sector and its members control nearly 100 million square feet of warehousing space from some 1300 locations across the UK. The UKWA Pavilion will showcase the products and services offered by UKWA members and associate members.

WINCANTON
Wincanton is the UK’s largest publicly quoted third party logistics provider offering a range of transport, warehousing and specialist services. The senior management team from the container logistics business will also be on hand throughout the duration.
