Geoff Newton, chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, has left the institute after little more than a year in the job.
The institute said he had left to pursue other opportunities.
He had played an important role in helping the Institute to develop and implements number of initiatives which were important to the success of the CILT (UK), said chairman Stephen Rinsler.
The CILT is now looking for a new chief executive to be based either in London or Corby.
