Werner White has been appointed as managing director of the newly formed KN Drinks Logistics.
Kuehne and Nagel said that White’s first challenge will be to integrate the activities of both primary and secondary distribution businesses, creating strong teams and a distinctive culture for the new division. White said: “Our aim is to grow the business by being recognised as the first choice logistics provider to the drinks industry.”
Werner has 24 years experience in the logistics industry, in both the retail and manufacturing sectors. He trained with the National Freight Company, working for both National Carriers and British Road Services for ten years. After working for Tibbett and Britten as managing director of its UK consumer logistics business, Werner transferred to North America, in the role of vice president, responsible for a range of retail customers in Canada and the USA.
On returning to the UK Werner joined Hays as managing director of its technology and automotive logistics businesses. He has recently worked for private businesses in both temperature controlled distribution and air/seafreight.
