Kuehne + Nagel UK and Scottish & Newcastle UK have completed the deal that sees the creation of KN Drinks Logistics, which is now fully operational.
KN Drinks Logistics will specialise in the primary and secondary distribution of beverages throughout the UK, using the existing network facilities of both Kuehne + Nagel UK and S&N UK.
Newly appointed managing director of KN Drinks Logistics, Werner White, said: “The new KN Drinks Logistics business represents the biggest and best invested drinks logistics business in the UK. Our aim now is to grow the business by being recognised as the first choice logistics provider to the drinks industry.”
All staff employed in the Kuehne + Nagel primary operations on behalf of S&N UK, and all S&N UK secondary distribution staff have transferred under TUPE into KN Drinks Logistics. The combined business has nationwide coverage through 22 depots, with around 850 vehicles and 2,900 people.
