Advanced Processing of Halifax has won long-term nationwide distribution contracts with Debenhams, Makro and Quiksilver totalling £1.8m.
To maintain high service standards, Advanced has taken delivery of an additional 12 brand new fully-liveried DAF tractor units. The new vehicles, together with a further six arriving in September, will bring Advanced Processing’s total fleet up to 30 tractor units and 80 trailers.
Glyn Rogan, managing director, said: “The Makro, Debenhams and Quiksilver contracts have given us the confidence to invest, and they will help guarantee the continuing success of our business.”
Since 2004, Advanced Processing’s transport fleet has grown from six tractor units and 20 trailers to 28 tractor units and 70 trailers. In 2006, a further 18 brand new tractor units will be delivered.
