Three mobiles from Datalogic

Datalogic has launched three mobile computers; the Jet Version 5, the Kyman-Net and the Skorpio.

The Jet Version 5 is a hand-held PDA that has been designed specifically for bar-coding and data capture applications. The mobile device runs the latest version of Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 and carries an Intel PXA 270 microprocessor. In addition to its increased processing power, the Datalogic Jet Version 5 also has increased Flash and RAM memories of 128Mb.

The Kyman-Net is a voice-ready hand-held, designed specifically for data collection operations in warehouse management, transport, and field service automation. Datalogic says that the Kyman-Net is the lightest mobile computer in its class, which helps to reduce operator fatigue without compromising reliability. The Kyman-Net includes an extended wireless communication and a full range of automatic data capture capabilities.

The Skorpio is Datalogic’s third mobile computing offering and is designed for the retail environment. A pistol grip version is due to be released at the end of this year or early in 2007. Datalogic’s Kyman-Net is has already gone into production while the Jet Version 5 is due to be released later this year.
