Hapag-Lloyd is set to begin a new weekly service from Europe to South Africa in October 2006.
The South Africa Express service (SAX) will link Felixstowe, Hamburg, Antwerp and Le Havre with Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban.
The inaugural voyage is due to leave Felixstowe on 16 October 2006, the first north bound vessel will leave Durban on 29 October 2006.
Transit time from Cape Town to Hamburg is expected to be 18 days.
