The Cert group is investing £20m in a new service centre for its fine wines division, Octavian.
The 192,000 sq ft Hoddesdon facility, will have 28,000 pallet locations, 17 loading bays and is thought to be the largest bespoke operation for the UK fine wines sector.
The development will enable Octavian to provide customers with enhanced process efficiencies and order cut off times.
The centre is due to be fully operational in the first half of 2007 and will have the capacity for handling 120,000 orders and five million cases of fine wines each year.
Michael Lainas, managing director of Octavian, said that the re has been significant growth in demand for fine wines.
