DHL Global Forwarding has obtained a licence to operate a domestic air freight service in China.
The China Air Transport Association licence permits DHL to operate within 17 Chinese cities including Shanghai and Beijing.
China’s domestic air cargo market has become the second largest in the world with an annual growth rate forecast of 10.8 per cent over the next 20 years.
DHL plans to develop a total of 30 branches/warehouses, covering 70 cities over the next five years.
