Last mile logistics real estate company Mileway has agreed an expanded lease with Ahlsell at Krukskärvan 8 in Malmö.
A technical trading company, Ahlsell supplies a broad range of installation products, tools, and materials to professional users across HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, construction, and industrial sectors.
Ahlsell is relocating within the area and will establish the site as its new regional head office and retail hub.
The expansion takes the occupier’s total leased space at the site to approximately 5,000m² (c. 53,819ft²) in total, including a new 1,800m² (c. 19,375ft²) extension.
Located in Fosie, a light industrial district south of central Malmö, the site is approximately 9 km from Malmö city centre and 28 km from Copenhagen.
Krukskärvan 8, which is owned by funds managed by Blackstone, will undergo an extensive repositioning, with only the structural frame being retained.
Additionally, the redevelopment will see the property’s sustainability profile bolstered, with existing parking areas will be complemented by 12 new electric vehicle charging stations, while smart meters will be installed across both the existing and newly developed areas.
The extension roof is being prepared for PV solar panels, and energy-efficient LED lighting will be installed throughout the building.
