Logistics joint venture platform Greenlight Urban has appointed local contractor Benniman LimitedĀ for the redevelopment of a former manufacturing complex in Redditch after obtaining full planning permission from Redditch Borough Council.
Greenlight Redditch will partially demolish the existing buildings on site to create space for four new industrial/distribution units, which will be targeting BREEAM Outstanding ratings and EPC A+.
Totalling 126,715ftĀ², the development has been designed to improve energy performance and reduce the environmental impact.
The units range in size between 10,000ftĀ² and 67,475ftĀ² and use sustainable technologies such as rainwater harvesting, photovoltaic solar panels, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and air source heat pumps to cut carbon emissions and reduce occupiersā operating costs.
Alongside these technologies, Units 1 and 3 will include Category A office space together with feature balcony space for employees.
Director of development at Delancey Mark Enderby said: āGreenlight Urban is leading the way in developing outstanding, mid-box assets with first class ESG credentials, and weāre delighted that Honeywell has recognised this by remaining on the site to be part of Greenlight Redditch.
“We look forward to welcoming more exciting occupiers to Greenlight Redditch to take advantage of the prime location and best-in-class space.ā
