CEVA Logistics has launched a new air charter programme connecting Hanoi (HAN), Vietnam, to Chicago (ORD), alongside a renewal of its successful Wuxi (WUX), China, to Chicago route launched in 2025.
The programme is designed to strengthen its controlled air capacity along critical transpacific trade lanes.
The 700,000ft² multi-function facility features 350,000ft² of dedicated freight space, an 8,000ft² Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and a 6,000ft², dual-chamber cold storage unit.
As a Certified Cargo Screening Facility equipped with ETD, x-ray, and K-9 inspection capabilities, the gateway streamlines customs clearance and destination trucking to significantly reduce end-to-end transit times.
Operating three times per week with a Boeing 777 full freighter, the HAN-ORD service provides same-day departure and arrival.
The Wuxi-Chicago charter will now use CMA CGM Air Cargo, marking a collaboration within the CMA CGM Group.
The service utilises B777 freighters on a stable, twice weekly schedule, providing up to 100 tons of capacity per flight.
This programme offers shippers an effective way to secure supply chain stability and planning reliability outside of volatile spot markets.
To maximise the route’s reach, CEVA has expanded its pickup coverage across key manufacturing and export hubs throughout China, leveraging its extensive nationwide ground network to enable multi-origin consolidation and seamless connection to the Wuxi gateway.
CEVA Logistics vice president of global air and ocean operations, Loic Gay, said: “We continue to strategically expand our controlled air network along key transpacific trade lanes to guarantee our customers access to reliable and resilient capacity.
“The launch of our new Hanoi charter directly addresses the rapid growth of Vietnam as a desired manufacturing hub, while the return of our popular Wuxi service supports our customers’ needs for transpacific supply chain stability.
“By leveraging CMA CGM Air Cargo’s capabilities, alongside our Chicago gateway, we are delivering the end-to-end speed, security and flexibility that our customers need.”
