Ahead of IntraLogisteX in Dallas on 16-17 September, Logistics Manager caught up with Praveen Soundararajan, director of business operations and strategy at Contoro Robotics, about the role of automation in the warehouse and what the company will be exhibiting at the event.
Please tell us about your organization…
Contoro Robotics is building AI-powered robotics for autonomous container unloading and box handling. Our systems are deployed across major e-commerce, retail and logistics operations, including Big E-com, PetSmart, Toys“R”Us, H Mart and Neovia.
To date, Contoro robots have unloaded more than 30 million lbs of cases, achieved a 99.5% AI success rate and operated with zero safety incidents.
Our robots can unload cases weighing up to 80 lbs and we provide them through a Robotics-as-a-Service model with no upfront CAPEX, enabling customers to realise immediate ROI with 2x+ returns.
What can visitors to IntraLogisteX in Dallas expect to see on your booth?
Visitors will get to understand how Contoro is tackling one of the hardest workflows to automate in the warehouse: unloading randomly stacked, floor-loaded trailers and containers.
We will showcase our autonomous unloading platform and the AI, perception and patented grasping technology that allows the system to handle a diverse array of case sizes, weights and configurations in real-world operations.
Who should visit your booth and why?
Warehouse, distribution and supply chain leaders dealing with labour availability, safety, throughput or unpredictable unloading costs should visit us.
Contoro can be deployed without major infrastructure changes or upfront equipment investment, allowing operators to automate a difficult workflow, prove value quickly and scale across their network.
Why is IntraLogisteX in Dallas important to you in 2026?
This year represents an inflection point for warehouse robotics. We are seeing enterprise deployments mature from pilots into repeatable operating models, while customers increasingly look beyond individual automation projects toward connected automation across the warehouse.
IntraLogisteX gives us the opportunity to engage directly with the operators shaping that next phase and understand where robotics can create the greatest value.
In one word, how would you describe the future of intralogistics?
Autonomous.
