Great Bear, a third-party ambient logistics provider, has been awarded a three-year extension to its transport contract with Weetabix.
The renewed contract will see Great Bear provide factory clearance from Weetabix production sites to its Burton Latimer warehouse in Northamptonshire until the end of 2028. The 3PL will also be responsible for secondary distribution across the UK.
“This extension is a testament to the strength of our relationship with Weetabix and the dedication of our team,” said Alastair Isbister, CEO of Great Bear. “Over the past three years, we’ve consistently delivered exceptional service, achieving a 12-month consecutive on-time performance of 98.7%.”
In addition, Great Bear announced that it has secured further transport services from Weetabix’s Deeside operation, further expanding the scope of collaboration.
Weetabix, which is owned by US-based Post Holdings, acquired Deeside Cereals from Wholebake in December 2023.
Last year, the North Wales-based cereal manufacturer produced its first Weetabix branded products – Disney Toy Story-themed, honey-flavoured and chocolate caramel-flavoured Wheaties.
Great Bear, which is part of Culina Group, won its initial contract with Weetabix in January 2023.
