New IT services from Fortec

Pallet network Fortec is offering members an improved range of IT services that can be accessed while on the move and at the same time provide total transparency across the network.

Pallet network Fortec has upgraded its IT systems to offer network members an improved range of services including MapIT, Report IT and TrackIT.

MapIT allows members to plan their drivers’ routes on a computerised map simply by dragging icons called ‘pins’ across the screen.

ReportIT is an instant message board embedded into Fortrack, Fortec’s TMS system that allows members to communicate with each other, and for Fortec to contact members.

The TrackIT portal allows members to track their vehicles whenever there is a live and operating Fortec Connect app running in the cab.

Chris Dennigan, business improvements and performance manager said: “Visibility in any transport and distribution network is key and our new offering does just that. I remain convinced that we have a responsibility to make it as simple as possible for our members to exceed their customers’ expectations and we are working hard to deliver on that by providing industry leading technology.”
