Insurance company NFU Mutual has acquired a development site in Swindon from Marq Logistics for £2.7 million, with Graftongate appointed as development partner.
The consented scheme will deliver an 80,000ft² speculative logistics unit on a 5.3-acre site and is designed to meet institutional sustainability standards.
The site is located within an established logistics location, with occupiers including DHL, Wincanton, WHSmith, B&Q and TNT.
Construction is due to commence this month, with practical completion targeted for Q1 2027.
NFU Mutual property fund manager, Alex Pocock, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Graftongate on this development.
“This acquisition offers a compelling opportunity to deliver a prime logistics asset in a well-established location, underpinned by strong occupier demand.”
