Caddick Developments has brought forward plans to deliver a new logistics and industrial hub in Leeds Valley Park.

The proposals would result in a significant employment boost to the area, totalling between 400 and 500 jobs once completed.

The site is situated between Junction 44 of the M1 and Junction 7 of the M621, and offers regional and national road networks.

The 20-acre site, which is owned by Caddick Developments, will provide 306,000 sq ft of high-quality floor space.

Proposals include the construction of six light-industrial mid-box units of varying sizes and styles. The proposed scheme will consist of spacious, modern B2 & B8 classed units, whilst the surrounding complex will be landscaped to create a welcoming work environment.

Jim Dyson, Director at Caddick Developments, said: “The proposal comes at an exciting time for the sector, and with its perfect location and high-quality design, the development is set to attract businesses from across the region and the nation and in turn provide a welcome boost to local employment.

“Covid and the linked restrictions have highlighted the importance of a resilient supply-chain and online retailers and traders in particular have seen the need to adapt to a changing landscape.”
