Fashion retailer S.Oliver Group has selected Nomagic to introduce AI-powered robotic picking technology at its logistics facility in Dettelbach, Germany.
The project will automate processes for a range of fashion products, including shoeboxes, with the aim of reducing manual handling and increasing operational efficiency.
The installation will include Nomagic’s Shoebox Picker, a robotic system developed to handle shoeboxes, which can present challenges for conventional robotic picking solutions.
The technology combines AI-based vision and robotic manipulation to identify and handle different products, allowing a wider range of fashion items to be processed within the same automated workflow.
Markus Steinmann, managing director of logistics at S.Oliver Group, said: “Our partnership with Nomagic is the next logical step in the continuous development of our automation strategy. We see significant potential, particularly in repetitive logistics processes, to further enhance efficiency, flexibility, and operational excellence while preparing our logistics network for future growth.”
The project forms part of the company’s wider warehouse automation strategy as it prepares its logistics operations for future volume growth.
IntraLogisteX Düsseldorf will bring together logistics, fulfilment and supply chain leaders on 16-17 June 2027.
