Scan Global Logistics (SGL) and Cycle & Carriage (C&C) have signed a memorandum of understanding to trial an autonomous electric vehicle for commercial cargo transport in Singapore.
The companies said they are finalising operational arrangements for a supervised road trial, which is expected to begin in Q4 2026 and run for three to six months.
The fully autonomous vehicle uses sensors, cameras and software to navigate without a human driver. It has received homologation approval, confirming it meets the relevant technical, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
The vehicle will be tested on a specific route under supervised, autonomous conditions, supported by safety and remote-monitoring procedures. C&C’s certified safety officer will monitor the vehicle throughout the trial and can intervene remotely when required.
The proposed routes and supporting documentation are currently under review by the authorities.

If the trial progresses successfully, the longer-term ambition is to make more autonomous transport solutions available for different customers in Singapore.
