State Logistics has deployed new voice implementation software with the aim of improving picking accuracy within the warehouse.
The LYDIA Voice implementation system was developed by Ehrhardt Partner Group (EPG) and is fully integrated with Infor warehouse management system (WMS).
The solution aims to support both people and performance, enabling States Logistics to adapt as customer requirements and volumes continue to evolve.
To this end, State Logistics partnered with EPG and ASW Global Consulting to utilise the system to communicate directly with WMS and ERP systems.
The partnership reports that this creates optimised, voice-directed workflows that guide associates smoothly through execution while allowing rapid adjustments as operational needs evolve.
System flexibility also enabled workflow changes that can be implemented quickly without disrupting operations or reworking the underlying WMS.
Supervisors reported fewer errors and higher pick rates across their operations while new hires enjoyed an easier onboarding experience.
States Logistics application manager, Todd Myers, said: “We have large line orders with lots of cases and lots of movement, so improving productivity was the bottom line.
“I wasn’t necessarily sure how easy it was going to be. We weren’t able to shut things down for a day, so we decided to equip a few users, let them pick with voice, and then add a couple more.
“By the end of the first week, everybody was picking with voice.”
IntraLogisteX is taking place in Dallas in 2026, bringing the industry’s leading trade show & conference to one of North America’s most important logistics hubs.
