Tesco is temporarily re-occupying warehouse space across the country to mitigate short term demands put upon its supply chain due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tesco is re-occupying its 617,393 sq ft warehouse in Fenny Lock, Milton Keynes.
The property known as Tectonic 620 is being marketed by JLL and despite Tesco re-occupying it, the property is still on the market in the long term.
It is understood that Tesco will be re-occupying parts of the the cross-dock facility. The property has fully fitted mezzanines to provide in excess of 1 million sq ft. It has a 13.75m eaves height and is partly racked with a 19,800 pallet capacity. It has 80 dock and seven double height dock doors and has parking for 300 HGV and 585 cars.
It has also decided to re-occupy its 300,000 sq ft Tectonic warehouse on Stakehill Industrial Estate in the North West.
It is thought the supermarket has five years remaining on the lease. The cross-docked facility has 10.8m eaves, 53 dock and three level access doors including 2 double deck doors with scissor lifts. It has parking for 210 trailer and 363 cars. It has a fully functioning canteen. The unit was formerly used as a temperature controlled facility and much of the redundant fit out remains in situ.
