Tesco staff ‘likely’ to accept offer

The threat of a strike by Tesco drivers and warehouse staff at Belfast and Doncaster appears to be receding.

Trade union Unite suspended a strike ballot, which was due to go ahead last week, following an improved two-year offer from the company.

A union spokesperson said: “We are currently awaiting results, but it is looking like members will be accepting [the offer].”
