Jacquie Silvester, Head of Sustainability & Improvement at furniture manufacturer and retailer The Cotswold Company, will be speaking at Logistics Manager’s Sustainable Supply Chain Conference in London on 10 May 2023.

She will discuss the concept of decarbonisation and the best course of action for businesses to take in order to decarbonise their operations. Her presentation will encompass carbon offsetting, Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions, and the conflict between cost and social obligation with regards to carbon emissions.

Silvester is a sustainability expert, passionate about the environment, who strongly believes change will only come from the bottom up.  As Head of Sustainability & Improvement with 15 years’ service at The Cotswold Company, Jacquie is keen to promote sustainability not only in line with the company’s strategic goals, but also at a personal level throughout the workforce.

With strong values, a moral compass for doing the right thing, and desire for equitable consideration to the whole planet’s needs, she is vocal in encouraging others to adopt this culture, so future generations have the same awe-inspiring wondrous access to nature.

The conference is a one-day face-to-face event which highlights the untapped opportunity of supply chain decarbonisation in international climate action while also covering how having sustainability at the very core of businesses and their strategies can influence the bottom line.

The event offers attendees a total of five CPD hours – accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – to keep up with their professional development, as well as invaluable insight from experts in the world of supply chain sustainability and networking opportunities.
