Time to innovate

Twenty years ago, it was only too apparent that many organisations did not harness their supply chain as effectively as they could – and in many cases simply did not recognise its the importance to their business.

It was to challenge that perception that we launched the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards.

So it was significant that a couple of our major retailers, speaking at the Logistics & Supply Chain conference, volunteered the fact that winning an ESCE Award had raised the profile of supply chain within their organisations.

And now you have the chance to shine: the 2015 Awards are now open for entries. Win the Overall Award and you will be joining a select group of Europe’s leading companies, including: BASF, Danone, GlaxoSmithKline, Jaguar Land Rover, British Gas, Nokia Siemens Networks, and Telefonica.

This year we are emphasising the importance of innovation in the supply chain with a new category devoted to the cutting edge developments.

Of course, innovation should be part of every entry, but with this new Innovation Award we will be giving as much weight to the approach as to the result. That makes it a tremendous opportunity to show the judges new approaches that demonstrate original thinking.

So if you have a game-changing idea, now is the time to put it forward.
